Why Send a Tenant's Smoke Alarm Letter (TSAL)?

Since the NT's photoelectric-specific smoke alarm legislation came into force on 1 November 2011, landlords have been required to install photoelectric smoke alarms (morebelow).

 

However, several tenant's are still in property's that have ionisation alarms installed.

BE ALARMED

On 1 November 2011 the NT Government introduced legislation

 to mandate photoelectric smoke alarms in all NT residences.

Northern Territory Fire Service:
"The photoelectric type of alarm is strongly

recommended by fire services everywhere..."
